MEET & GREET

Located in the foothills of Virginia's western Piedmont region near Lynchburg is Smith Mountain Lake. While best known for it's bass fishing & boating activities, in late August it gets invaded by glamour photographers, models, and make-up artists for an annual "meet & greet" .

I had the pleasure of attending the event this year and, in sprite of having a car rear end my beloved PT Cruiser, was glad I came!

Smith Mountain State Park requires a $6 entrance fee but then you have the amenities that go with a state park, such as bath houses for one...which the models really appreciated for changing swimsuits!

The event is hosted by area photographers Marko Galbreath & John Biddle. They usually arrange for a pontoon boat & jet skies as props for the models to pose on. The sunset vistas are AMAZING here!

This event had 6 photographers and 18 models, and promises to become bigger each year. This is a TFP/CD/DVD event. Bring plenty of model releases and business cards, (and of course, your cameras) if you would like to attend.
